Aims, contents and method of the course

Die zweite Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts sah die Gründung des Faches Byzantinistik an der Universität Wien und den raschen Aufstieg des Instituts zu einer der international führenden Forschungs- und Lehrstätten. Die UE zeichnet die Entwicklungen nach und stellt die inzwischen pensionierten Vertreter des Faches ins Zentrum, deren persönlichen Eindrücke zu Lehre und Forschung aufgezeichnet werden sollen - in Analogie zu ähnlichen internationalen Oral-History-Projekten.
Die Studierenden entwickeln unter Anleitung Fragenkataloge für Interviews, führen die Interviews durch, bereiten sie auf und werten sie inhaltlich aus.
