Aims, contents and method of the course
Translation and interpretation of selected passages of the vita of Muhammad written in prose by Eulogius of Cordoba (9th century) and the two vitae written in verse by Embricho of Mainz and Walter of Compiègne (12th century)
Assessment and permitted materials
regular participation; at the end a short colloquim about the contents of the lecture
