Aims, contents and method of the course

Gefälschte Handschriften, Inschriften und Palimpseste; erfundene Kunstschätze und imaginierte Bibliotheken; (Pseudo-)Biographien und Schriften von Autoren die es gar nicht gibt; Fiktionalitätsaussagen, die Wirklichkeit vortäuschen; Kopierte oder neu geschaffene Bilder, Texte und Textausschnitte die als Originale ausgegeben werden... die Liste solcher Fälle ließe sich weit fortführen. Untersucht werden ausgewählte Fälle von Plagiaten, Autormystifikationen sowie Literatur- und Kunstfälschungen im neueren Griechenland (z.B. Simonidis, Roidis, Christomanos, Anagnostakis, Seferis u.a.). Im Rahmen der LV ist ein Museumsbesuch geplant.

Assessment and permitted materials

Schriftliche Prüfung am Ende des Semesters.

Griechischkenntnisse sind erwünscht, werden aber nicht vorausgesetzt.

Examination topics

Geprüft wird der in der LV durchgenommene Stoff. Handouts und Literaturhinweise werden auf Moodle bereitgestellt.

Eine ausführliche Literaturliste wird in der LV ausgehändigt.
