Das Proseminar dient zudem auch in allgemeinerer Hinsicht der Einführung in das wissenschaftliche Arbeiten, die mit Bezug auf die von uns behandelten Gegenstände erfolgen soll. Je nach Kenntnisstand der Teilnehmer sind mögliche Themen etwa: 'Methoden und Arbeitsinstrumente der Gräzistik', 'Geschichte der Philologie', 'Überlieferungsgeschichte', 'Textkritik und Editionstechnik' u.a.
