Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziel und Inhalte: Einblick in die differierenden Vorstellungen vom Leben der Menschen nach dem Tod in der Kultur der griechischen Archaik und deren Funktionalisierung in der Dichtung, mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Homer und dem Epischen Kyklos sowie Ausblicken auf Hesiod und die archaische Lyrik.
Methode: Gemeinsame Erarbeitung der Thematik; selbständige mündliche Präsentation und schriftliche Arbeit.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regelmäßige Anwesenheit, Vorbereitung und Mitarbeit; mündliches Referat und schriftliche Arbeit.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

10 % Mitarbeit
30 % Referat
60 % Seminararbeit
