Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Inhalte: Gemeinsame Lektüre eines homerischen Gesangs (Odyssee 11: Odysseus in der Unterwelt), verbunden mit geduldiger Einführung in die homerische Sprache und Metrik sowie gezielten Hinweisen auf text- und literaturwissenschaftliche Methodik und auf Problemfelder der Homerforschung.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regelmäßige Anwesenheit und Mitarbeit; wöchentliche Vorbereitung; Erfüllung von Arbeitsaufträgen; mündliche Abschlussprüfung über den gemeinsam erarbeiteten Stoff.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ziele: Erreichung einer gesicherten Grundkompetenz in der homerischen Sprache und der selbständigen Anwendung von Interpretationsansätzen.

Examination topics

Methoden: Schrittweise Hinführung von angeleiteter zu selbständiger Übersetzungs- und Interpretationsarbeit.

Reading list

Dringende Kaufempfehlung: Homeri Odyssea. Recognovit Helmut van Thiel. Olms - Weidmann 1991 (ca. 20 Euro).
Weitere Literatur wird in der Übung besprochen.
