Aims, contents and method of the course

Contents: Presentation of and engagement with research projects and research issues

Aim of course: Communication of course content

Method: Short presentations, accompanied by preparatory reading and extensive discussion.

Assessment and permitted materials

Research presentation (50%); participation in the discussion, on the basis of preparatory readings of 20 to 30 pages (50%). In addition, students are expected to attend relevant lectures and conferences offered by the Department for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies and elsewhere.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirment: Research presentation (50%); participation in the discussion, on the basis of preparatory readings of 20 to 30 pages (50%).

Previous knowledge: BA in Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies or in a degree program that is relevant to the discipline of Byzantine studies
