Aims, contents and method of the course
Contents: Presentation of and engagement with research projects and research issuesAim of course: Communication of course contentMethod: Short presentations, accompanied by preparatory reading and extensive discussion.
Assessment and permitted materials
Research presentation (50%); participation in the discussion, on the basis of preparatory readings of 20 to 30 pages (50%). In addition, students are expected to attend relevant lectures and conferences offered by the Department for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies and elsewhere.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Minimum requirment: Research presentation (50%); participation in the discussion, on the basis of preparatory readings of 20 to 30 pages (50%).Previous knowledge: BA in Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies or in a degree program that is relevant to the discipline of Byzantine studiesStudents must signal their interest in taking this course (indicating their prior preparation) by email to: claudia.rapp@univie.ac.at
