Field trip (including meetings before and after the excursion) to the historic sites of the Republic of Armenia, with special emphasis on the medieval period and the relations between Byzantium and Armenia.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Exploration of the influence of Byzantine culture on the Caucasus region.
Examination topics
Independent high-level student research on objects of material culture in the course of visits to excavation sites, churches and monasteries and museums.
