Das Seminar setzt sich intensiv mit Predigten und autobiographischen Schriften der wichtigsten Vertreter der Dominikanischen Mystik des Spätmittelalters auseinander. Die Texte werden am Anfang des Seminars bekannt gegeben. Verlangt wird die Bereitschaft, sich Woche für Woche eingehend mit mittelhochdeutschen Texten auseinanderzusetzen, die sowohl germanistische als auch philosophische und theologische Fragen aufwerfen.
