Aims, contents and method of the course

Analysis of literature on teaching via project work in German as a Second Language, Developing a lesson plan for a whole project week abroad, teaching learners of German, executing this week in teams of 2(3) and presenting it
Please note: Spending a week abroad is a vital part of this course; please only register if you can spend a whole week abroad (April-June 2019) .

Assessment and permitted materials

active participation in class and on moodle plattform: 20 points
presenting the lesson plan of a project week and presenting it: 20 points
executing this project week, presenting the whole week afterwards : 40 points
and writing up a written report of it: 20 points

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a passgrade, a minimum of 60 points is required.
Additionally, attendance is compulsory, you may miss only a total of 6 teaching units à 45 minutes
IMPORTANT: In order to receive a pass grade, you must conduct a project week (five days) at a school abroad (April-June 2019, exact dates will be set at first session of this course.

2 (Gut) 81 - 90 Punkte
3 (Befriedigend) 71 - 80 Punkte
4 (Genügend) 60 - 70 Punkte
5 (Nicht Genügend) 0 - 59 Punkte
