Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course deals with the formation of Latin American countries and their development up to the present day, the evolution of their borders, the composition of the nations or peoples that inhabit them, and the resulting complexities.
In particular, the twentieth and twenty-first centuries will be analyzed in the political and social aspect of each country, both in their national internal environment, as well as in their international position and role.
The policies of the different countries can only be understood if the internal social and economic composition of each historical moment is understood....
The objective of the course is to deepen in the national and international aspects that often can only be explained if the international reality that has influenced each country in one way or another, determining its political and social development, is also understood.
