Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

It is a course for absolute beginners, although it is obviously possible to attend it in order to revise aspects of the language, in case the student has already had some contact with it.

Grammar and vocabulary items corresponding to basic elements of the Portuguese language.

Basic conversations about basic common topics.

Handouts with texts and information on basic aspects of grammar (available via e-mail/Moodle).

Assessment and permitted materials

Examinees must demonstrate understanding of a text about everyday aspects, answer questions about it, prepare questions for a short dialogue, complete sentences with the verb tenses taught during the course and write a paragraph on a personal topic.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Capacity of understanding basic aspects of the language, writing short texts, following basic conversations.

Examination topics

Will be spoken in the classes.

Reading list

The students receive handouts (in German and Portuguese) with texts and information on grammar and vocabulary.
