Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The AG Masterarbeit / Privatissimum offers an interactive workshop for students starting or already working on their master or PhD thesis. The course passes on tools and strategies in the process of finding and sharpening research topics and research questions, in structuring the text and in bibliographic research. Furthermore there will be some playful techniques introduced; taping not only the cognitive but also the emotional resources, they are helpful for developing innovative ideas and in dealing with writer's blocks.
All participants will present their individual project once, followed by feedbacks of the instructress and of the peers. The detailed program will be elaborated in exchange with the students during the first unit.

Assessment and permitted materials

Active participation, project presentation with PPP and handout, Exposé of 5 pages, commented bibliography of 2 pages.

- exposé (45 %)

Examination topics

There is no obligatory corpus of knowledge for all of the participants. They have to integrate the inputs given during the course and available in synopsis at Moodle.

Reading list

There is no knowledge that serves every individual project. The inputs presented in the course and available in Moodle in Synopsis must be integrated into the respective examination content for individual topics.
