Aims, contents and method of the course

It is a course for absolute beginners, although it is obviously possible to attend it in order to revise aspects of the language, in case there are students who may have already had some contact with it.

Grammar and vocabulary items corresponding to basic elements of the Portuguese language.

Easy conversations about basic common topics.

Handouts with texts and information on basic aspects of grammar (available in class / via Moodle).

At the end of the course students are expected to have achieved Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written test after the course (on the 3. October 2025, at 2.00 pm)-

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Capacity of understanding basic aspects of the language, writing short texts, following easy conversations.

Examination topics

Will be spoken in the classes.
