Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course, the main topics of the STEOP lecture are repeated and then applied to practical examples in a series of basic exercises to deepen the understanding of the phonetic and grammatical structures of Spanish.
En este curso se repiten los temas principales de la STEOP y luego se aplican a ejemplos prácticos en una serie de ejercicios básicos para profundizar en la comprensión de las estructuras fonéticas y gramaticales del español.

Assessment and permitted materials

Students provide proof of their performance through their participation and collaboration as well as two intermediate and one final written examination.

(Active) participation: 20%
Intermediate tests: 2x20%
Final examination: 40%

Los estudiantes demuestran su rendimiento a través de su participación y colaboración, así como de dos exámenes intermedios y uno final escrito.

Participación (activa): 20%.
Pruebas intermedias: 2x20%.
Examen final: 40%.

Assessment scale / Escala de evaluación:
90% – 100% = 1
80% – 89% = 2
70% – 79% = 3
60% – 69% = 4
00%– 59% = 5

All partial performances must be positive!

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

After this exercise, students will be able to analyse the structures of Spanish and have a deeper understanding of the language and varieties of Spanish.
Después de este ejercicio, los estudiantes son capaces de analizar las estructuras del español y tener una comprensión más profunda de la lengua y las variedades del español.

Examination topics

Review of theoretical approaches and exercises in phonetic transcription and morphological and syntactic analysis, as well as consideration of the linguistic structure and variation of Spanish.
Revisión de los enfoques teóricos y ejercicios de transcripción fonética y análisis morfológico y sintáctico, además de la consideración de la estructura y variación lingüística del español.
