Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course takes place in mixed form (on-site + self-study).
Methods: Self-study (partly online) with autocorrective materials on Moodle + textbook + written corrected homework. Repetition and consolidation of the language structures newly acquired during the week.
Grammar (descriptive and action-orientated): Introduction to nominal and verbal morphology, basic syntactic structures
Phonetics: focus on correct pronunciation of the sound system of the French language; orthography
Vocabulary: Systematic development of a comprehensive basic vocabulary that enables communication in everyday situations and in an intercultural context;
Text reception and production: Progressive development of the four skills (oral and written expression, listening, listening-visual and reading comprehension) through the targeted teaching of structures of spoken and written language that enable the reception and production of different types of texts.

Assessment and permitted materials

Compulsory attendance
Compulsory self-study (partly online).
Weekly grammar and vocabulary tests in Moodle to confirm learning progress.
1 written exam (on site) at the end covering all the material
2 written homework exercises
- Moodle tests (grammar + vocabulary): 300 points
- Collaboration (phonetics + written task): 50 points
- Final test (written + oral): 100 points
In order to complete the course successfully, you must collect more than 300 points (out of 450).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Final test at level B1
(no previous knowledge required at the beginning of the course)
