Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course tackles the relationship between referential and fictional elements in literary texts. It focuses on two texts that claim to have an autobiographical background: el lazarillo de Tormes (1554, anonymous) und Carmen Martín Gaite's El cuarto de atrás (1978). Hence, these two poles in a more than 400 years long history of fictional testimonies help to re-construct the relevance of such self-documents in literary texts within specific historical contexts.
