Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Written exam (essay).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Three out of four questions must be answered positively. Each question comprises sub-questions. Students achieve 100 % and thus a Sehr Gut, when all of the sub-questions out of a total of three are answered with reference to and examples from the lecture. If less than 55 % is achieved, no positive mark is possible.
Examination topics
The core contents of the individual units on hermeneutics, literary sociology, narratology including the question of first-person narratives, discourse analysis, psychoanalytical literary theories, intertextuality, gender studies and postcolonialism with the ability of cross-referencing and applying them to concrete texts.
