Aims, contents and method of the course

Nach einer Einführung in Theorien zur Fotografie untersuchen wir einzelne Themen aus der italienischen Geschichte der Fotografie, wie Fotografie und nationale Identität, Fotografie und Propaganda, Fotografie als soziale Reportage, Werbefotografie u.a.

Assessment and permitted materials

Anwesenheitspflicht, Teilnahme an Gruppendiskussionen, kleinere schriftliche Zwischenarbeiten, Referat, schriftliche Abschlussarbeit

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Verständnis von theoretischen Fragen zur Fotografie, Kenntnis von bildanalytischen Methoden, überblicksmäßige Kenntnis der italienischen Fotogeschichte, Vertiefung in ein bestimmtes Thema

Examination topics

Vorstellung unterschiedlicher theoretischer Ansätze, Bildanalyse, kulturwissenschaftliche Kontextualisierung von Fotografien
