Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course introduces students to a selection of basic issues in literary studies. It acquaints students with literary terminology and its practical application and provides a survey of the major literary genres and their specific features.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The lecture course aims at helping students become competent readers. By providing them with a critical toolkit it enables participants to understand and use some of the basic concepts of literary criticism.
