Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The overall objective of this hands-on course is to enable students to harness technology-enhanced language learning strategies in blended learning contexts. Based on a solid theoretical footing, students will learn how to design coherent online teaching sequences using various edu-apps as well as native applications within virtual learning environments. Students will furthermore be familiarized with topics such as methodological design principles in the digital realm, various ways of providing online feedback, instructional design models, taxonomies of educational objectives, digital teaching scenarios, self-organization in technology-enhanced learning/teaching contexts as well as methodological challenges of the digital era.

Methods: synchronous and asynchronous e-learning via Moodle and Zoom, individual/pairwork/groupwork, flipped teaching, mini-presentations

This course is fully digital (access links will be sent out in due time).

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous assessment: students will have to complete various online activities in the accompanying Moodle course as well as work in their individual courses. Further details will be announced in class and on Moodle.

- Submission of five topic-related assignments (70%)
- Active participation in synchronous sessions (30%)
