Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This ONLINE (digital) lecture course will
- provide an introduction to basic questions of literary studies, such as text analysis, narratology, figures of speech, historicization, interpretation and literary theory;
- make students familiar with the purpose, terminology, and praxis of literary criticism,
- give a survey of the major literary genres and the special problems relating to them.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written final test (90 minutes - online)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The ONLINE (digital) course aims at providing students with a critical toolkit enabling them to understand - and apply - the basic concepts of literary criticism and to approach and analyse literary texts autonomously.

The entire material covered in the lecture course.
