Aims, contents and method of the course

- Six modes of co-teaching
- Professional collaboration in a team: team building, collaborative planning and reflection on teaching
- Co-teaching and communicative langauge teaching in heterogeneous classrooms
- Identifying learner needs and responding to them through co-teaching

The trainees understand the theories behind collaborative teaching and the goals of six modes of co-teaching; use six modes of co-teaching successfully in practice; identify and discuss the collaborative aspects of co-teaching and opportunities of co-teaching to implement a communicative approach to teaching EFL; identify useful combinations of co-teaching models, phases of teaching and goals; know strategies for organising co-teaching and classroom management that creates an environment conducive to learning in heterogeneous classrooms
