Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course will
- provide an introduction to basic questions of literary studies, such as text analysis, interpretation and literary theory,
- make students familiar with the terminology and praxis of literary criticism,
- give a survey of the major literary genres and the special problems relating to them.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written final test (90 minutes)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course aims at providing students with a critical toolkit enabling them to understand - and apply - the basic concepts of literary criticism and to approach and analyse literary texts autonomously.
