Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course combines hands-on classroom exposure and analyses of video-taped teaching sessions with input and theorizing. Using the EPOSTL as a staring point students will choose and formulate their own focus of work, acquire the necessary knowledge and apply it in a lesson taught at a higher vocational school (BAKIP8).
Assessment and permitted materials
Participation in teaching, discussions and reflections, short presentations, project portfolio.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The aim of this course is to develop trainee teachers' professional competence in the EFL classroom by going through cycles of practice and reflection.
Examination topics
Based on the 'reflective model', regular observation, teaching practice and reflection. As teaching sessions will be recorded, a willingness of participants to be filmed in class is required.
Reading list
Some materials will be provided in class, some will be presented by students in relation to their focus of work.
