Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course we will analyse the essential components of both the speaking and the writing process and discuss their implications for the language classroom. Techniques for practising writing and speaking will be demonstrated, different ways of assessing learners will be discussed.
Participants will have the opportunity to visit schools and observe classes. They will then be expected to develop their own teaching projects where theoretical knowledge shall be put into practice.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment will be based on regular, active participation, set reading tasks, participants' own teaching projects and a short presentation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The aim of this course is for students to deepen their understanding of speaking and writing in the language classroom.
