Aims, contents and method of the course

This lecture introduces fundamental concepts of grammar for describing English sentences and texts. It demonstrates how grammar is used for communication and how language structures can be explained and evaluated in context.

100-90% = 1, 89.99-80% = 2, 79.99-70% = 3, 69.99-60% = 4, 59.99-0% = 5

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students
- have a better understanding of the concept of grammar
- can identify and name individual parts of syntactic structures
- can explain key grammatical categories and their use in communication
- can evaluate the appropriate use of grammar in specific contexts
- can use a variety of resources to find answers to grammar issues
