Aims, contents and method of the course
This tutorial accompanies the STEOP lecture course Introduction to the Study of Language 1. It is offered to help you revise, practice, and prepare well for the exam. Is there something you don't understand? Something you find particularly difficult? Something you want to hear again? Come to the tutorial! We will address your questions and review key topics of the lecture by way of new exercises and examples. Attendance is not compulsory but highly encouraged.NEW: The tutorial will be held ONLINE exclusively until further notice.

Aims, contents and method of the course
IMPORTANT: In the summer semester, there are no ISL1 lectures (only these tutorial sessions). You will find all materials and resources (streams, slides, quizzes, ...) from the previous semester on this semester's Moodle platform. Please register for the tutorial to get access to the Moodle course!This tutorial accompanies the STEOP lecture course Introduction to the Study of Language 1. It is offered to help you revise, practice, and prepare well for the exam. Is there something you don't understand? Something you find particularly difficult? Something you want to hear again? Come to the tutorial! We will address your questions and review key topics of the lecture by way of new exercises and examples. Attendance is not compulsory but highly encouraged.The tutorial will be held digitally via Moodle. Please do not come to the lecture hall at the above times; in-person classes are currently not possible!

Assessment and permitted materials
tutorial: noneStEOP Exam: Written examination (two dates per semester), multiple option (90 minute "Modulprüfung" on ISL1 and Language Analysis). No materials permitted in the exam.

Examination topics
StEOP Exam: All the topics covered in the ISL1 and LA lectures and in the required readings; a list of chapters from the two prescribed books will be provided on Moodle.
