Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In our fortnightly meetings, we will discuss selected contrasts between English and German on various levels, including phonology, morphology, grammar (e.g. tense, modality, word order) and the lexicon.
Assessment and permitted materials
Readings, (group) assignments, classroom discussions, individual presentations.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Participants will be familiar with major linguistic contrasts between English and German in a wider comparative, historical and typological perspective.
