Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course we will analyse three texts by Oscar Wilde, Irish fin de siècle writer, poseur, and enfant terrible. They belong to different genres and to different periods in his short creative life: the early novel 'The Picture of Dorian Gray', his first successful play 'Lady Winderemere's Fan' and his late poem 'The Ballad of Reading Gaol', inspired by his experiences in prison.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
This class aims at helping students to advance their theoretical and practical skills in the analysis of literary texts and to develop techniques required for writing academic papers.
