From literary memoirs to autobiography thinly disguised as fiction, from biographical novels to bio plays and poetry we will look at a range of genres to critically investigate how authors negotiate the debatable borders of fact and fiction so as to articulate feminist and other concerns.Students are expected to present a paper of 8-10 minutes at a mini-conference on 14 January (Sat, 10am-4pm). Participation in the mini-conference is obligatory! There will be no classes on 31 Oct, 28 Nov, 16 & 23 January.
