Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this class, we will be dealing with examples of humorous writing in contemporary British literature and will discuss ways in which humour can be analysed in the genres, narrative fiction, drama and poetry.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students become familiar with basic theories and the terminology necessary to discuss humour in literature. They are introduced to practical research for literary studies, including the use of a variety of sources and resources, and develop their academic writing as well as presentation skills.
