Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This seminar explores the poetics of British and American short-story writing, its history and the contextualising factors which helped to shape its continuing evolution. Classical short story theory will be used alongside recent narratological models and cognitive theory to sharpen our understanding of this brief but by no means curt genre.
