Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this workshop we will analyse a variety of modern and postmodern English short stories, primarily by well-known novelists and writers of short fiction. After establishing the parameters of the genre and introducing the analytical tools we will focus on narrative strategies, character construction and thematic issues. Ultimately, we will attempt to outline a development of the short story in the twentieth century.
