Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This interactive course will deal with a selection of black Anglo-African novelists from different African countries, all of them female writers.

Assessment and permitted materials

Class participation, oral presentation; essay (10-12 pages) or final written test.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students become acquainted with form, content, and style of novels from different Anglophone African countries and their social, cultural, and political context.

Examination topics

Oral presentations in class followed by discussions.
