Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment is mainly based on continuous assessment (online classwork/homework) and the final portfolio.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Assessment:
1. Homework assignments 30%
2. Final portfolio 50%
3. Reading and (online) participation 20%
Minimum requirements:
Regular attendance (max. 2 absences)
Part 1 and Part 2, as well as the overall score, must be positive (60% or above)
Grading scheme:
1 (sehr gut): 100-90%
2 (gut): 89-80%
3 (befriedigend): 79-70%
4 (genügend): 69-60%
5 (nicht genügend): 59-0%

Throughout the course, we will discuss relevant background reading, explore various (schoolbook) materials and activities, and integrate pertinent national and European documents (e.g. national curricula, the CEFR, the ELP), relating them to specific English language teaching contexts.
