Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This class will focus on how various forms of literature can be used in the EFL classroom, from novels to song lyrics to graphic novels, from extracts to class readers to extensive reading programs, from beginners to more advanced students.
Learning aims that can be met with literature will be discussed and a broad variety of hands-on methods will be suggested and tried out.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment will be based on a course portfolio and participation in class.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

This class aims at providing both a theoretical basis for the teaching of literature in the EFL classroom and practical examples. The primary aim is to enable students to devise lesson plans and teaching activities which help improve their future learners' skills and capture their interest.
