Aims, contents and method of the course

In this class, we will be looking at ways of promoting the reading of literature in the EFL classroom and at the aims and principles of such approaches. This exploration will be based on patterns that guide the reading of texts in a foreign language and will employ a broad range of materials.
- Students get to know the principles of reading and of reading in a foreign language
- Students explore how these can be made good use of in the EFL classroom
- students are introduced to a range of texts that can be used in the EFL classroom
- students try out methods to teach the reading of literary texts in the EFL classroom

participation is mandatory, 2 absences will be accepted
minimum requirement is the submission of a complete portfolio.
