Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This is a course for the creative and innovative mind. It addresses the pivotal factors that influence foreign language learning in adult life within different formal learner settings and resulting educational implications. We will explore and discuss the very specifics and individual needs of the adult learner. Psychological, cognitive, metacognitive and neuroscientific considerations as well as the age-factor, distinctive learner requirements (occupational, individual educational set-up) and a learner-centered approach will be the basis for the development, preparation and design of corresponding teaching methods, techniques, tools and materials. Tracing and defining the core requirements of the individual and self-dependent English language learner within the adult classroom and beyond will set the stage for the creation of a unique compilation of teaching materials (ELLA-file).
