Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course provides a forum for students working on their MA thesis or doctoral dissertation (or planning to do so in the near future). Participants will have the opportunity to present their research projects and discuss problems arising from them and which we will attempt to solve in class. We will also discuss useful aspects of literary theory and methodology and practical matters such as developing a research agenda, structuring individual chapters and/or entire projects and evaluating findings. For those who are interested and would like to volunteer mock (MA) exams could be organized.
Assessment and permitted materials
Oral presentation, active participation.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The course guides students in the last phase of their studies and helps them to prepare for the final examinations.
Examination topics
Oral presentations; all-class discussion of selected topics from literary theory/cultural studies; mock examinations (voluntary).
Reading list
Selected chapters from literary theory and texts that will be provided on an ad-hoc basis.
