Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course accompanies the Introduction to the Study of Language 1 lecture.There will be a focus on:- IPA symbols- broad (phonemic) transcription, including sentence stress- modification of sounds in connected speech (elision, assimilation, linking)- narrow transcription (allophones of plosives, /r/, /l/, etc.)
