Aims, contents and method of the course

Lectures on ecocriticical point of view, reading Finnish Literature from contemporary ecothrilers back to rural impressionism and realism.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The Student understands the relationship between language and nature, s/he knows the methods of ecocritical literary analysis, s/he can analyse the changing literary styles and descriptions of nature, s/he will know the questions of aesthetics and politics concerning nature and human life.
