Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course different aspects of the history of pagan religion in Scandinavia will be examined. The course will be a report and discussions. A paper (12-15 pages) has to be written.

Assessment and permitted materials

Writing a paper (12-15 pages), a report on the paper and co-operation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Qualification for the scientific treatment of a topic out of this field.

Examination topics

The lecture starts with an introduction into the field lasting several weeks. Not later than at the end of the introduction an issue for the paper should be chosen. Subsequently meetings in small groups will take place, in which the students will receive help during their researches; an one hand through the teacher, on the other hand through discussion and exchange of ideas among one another. The completion will be two lessons reporting on the papers.
