Aims, contents and method of the course
Im Zentrum der Übung Einführung in die Kulturanalyse steht in diesem Semester, parallel zur Vorlesung 130101 VO Niemand zu Hause. Fremdheit und Alterität in Literatur und Philosophie (Mittwoch 15- 16.30, HG HS 42) das Thema des Fremden. Dabei sollen wichtige Konzepte von Alterität, die in der Vorlesung überblickshaft behandelt werden, intensiv gelesen und diskutiert werden. Dabei wird der Schwerpunkt auf Texten liegen, die im gegenwärtigen kulturwissenschaftlichen Diskurs von Bedeutung sind. Die Bandbreite reicht von Konzepten der Psychoanalyse, des Poststrukturalismus, der Phänomenologie bis zu den Postkolonialen Studien. Dabei sollen und können auch klassische literarische Beispieltexte (J. Conrad, Chamisso, Kafka, Camus, Kertész, Nádas) zur Sprache kommen. Ab Mitte März wird ein Reader zur Verfügung stehen, der die wichtigsten Texte enthält. Er ist bei Facultas am Uni Campus erhältlich.
Assessment and permitted materials
Regelmäßige Teilnahme, eine Präsentation sowie Klausur. Der Besuch der Vorlesung wird empfohlen.
