Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction, position of OCS in Indo-European, cultural-historical background (Cyrilo-Methodian and post-Cyrilo-Methodian development until the fall of the 1st Bulgarian Empire), writing systems, prehistoric phonological development, phonology and morphology.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Overview over the genesis and development of OCS including the prehistoric phonological development and basic knowledge of OCS graphemics, phonology and morphology.
