Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Literary relationships between Austria and Mexico especially in the 19th and 20th centuries. Some relevant chapters will be the representation of the Second Mexican Empire in Austrian and Mexican literature or the importance of Austrian authors in Mexican literature during the second half of 20th century. Unknown or still not known Mexican authors will be covered also.

Assessment and permitted materials

Two written exams.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Familiarize Austrian students with a widely unknown national literature and its confrontations with the culture of a European country.

Examination topics

Lectures, readings, some audio and visual material.
