Aims, contents and method of the course

Über Mór (oder Maurus) Jókai (1825-1904) spricht man immer wieder als über den GROßEN FABULIERER des 19. Jahrhunderts, der es tatsächlich geschafft hat, mehrere Generationen und die verschiedensten Lesererwartungen zu bedienen, und sich praktisch bis heute als lesenswerter und spannender Autor zu behaupten. Daneben hat er den literarischen Kanon seiner Zeit, insbesondere die Romanliteratur wesentlich beeinflusst und in storytelling ein richtiges Paradigma geschaffen. Da seine Werke gleichzeitig immer auch ins Deutsche (Englische etc.) übertragen wurden, kann im Rahmen der Veranstaltung auf Übersetzungen zurückgegriffen werden. Im Angebot steht eine Kostprobe seiner Werke, von den historischen Erzählungen und Romanen (inkl. National-Thematik 1848/49) bis hin zu seinen Zeit- und utopischen Romanen (inkl. Science-Fiction). Geplant ist auch die Heranziehung einiger Verfilmungen. Die Texte werden über Moodle zur Verfügung gestellt.
