Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course will refer to basics texts of contemporary culturtal theory from the English- the French- and the German-speaking realm. We will discuss texts from T.S. Eliot, Ernst Cassirer, Georg Simmel, Stuart Hall, Homi K. Bhabha, Pierre Bordieu, Michel Foucault, Michail Bachtin and others.

presentation and research diary ( 12 pages, 20 000 signs)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The intention of the course is to work out important aspects of basic texts in cultural theory that are extraordinarily relevant for the study of literature and culture.
