Aims, contents and method of the course

Nach zwei einführenden Vorlesungen zu den Formen und zur linguistischen Analyse der schriftlichen Mehrsprachigkeit werden die Fragen der Mehrsprachigkeit in den finnisch-ugrischen Literaturen in Form von Referaten und Diskussionen behandelt. Als Material können sowohl die ungarische, finnische, estnische als auch die fiu. Minderheitenliteraturen dienen. Relevante Fragen sind z.B.
– Darstellungsformen der Mehrsprachigkeit in der Literatur: explizite und implizite Mehrsprachigkeit (d.h. Hinweise auf die "Anwesenheit" der anderen Sprache); Konventionen der Literatur ("immer übersetzen" vs. "möglichst wahrheitsgetreu darstellen");
– Mehrsprachigkeit und Authentizität: Wie wird im Text die Illusion der authentischen gesprochenen Sprache / der lebendigen alltäglichen Mehrsprachigkeit konstruiert;
– Codeswitching in Wort und Schrift: Funktionieren die Gesetzmäßigkeiten des gesprochenen Codewechsels auch in der Analyse von Texten?;
– "Framing" von anderssprachigen Elementen: Wie wird die andere Sprache dargestellt?;
– Die Anwesenheit der Mehrheitssprache in den Minderheitenliteraturen ("Realismus"?) vs. Minderheitssprachen in mehrheitssprachigen Literaturen ("Lokalkolorit"?): Erwartungen und erwartete Sprachkenntnisse der LeserInnen;
– Minderheitenliteraturen als Schaufenster von sprachpolitischen Problemen (Diskrimination und negative Einstellungen, Sprachbarrieren und Kommunikationsprobleme);
