Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture will give an introduction into the discourse with regard to the >spatial turn< in cultural studies and cultural analysis, which is relevant also in the humanities, in literature and philosophy. It is relevant because of the change of the global order of space in general as a result of media change, of political events as the break down of Communism after 1989 and is to be seen as a result of the cultural change in humanities.

The lecture will give
- an overview about the discourse in this field
- a discussion of its theoretic background
- a deeper understanding of the topic
- a possibility for a cross-disciplinary perspective
- an adaptation of the methodology in the field of literaty studies, film studies and philosophy.
